Ingredients:
Bread
Butter
Potatoes
Chopped onions
Corriander leaves
Green chilies
1 tbs Garlic and Ginger paste
Oil
½ tsp Sombu(Big jeera)
Salt and sugar
A few drops of lemon
Method:
Pour some oil in a pan and allow to heat. Then put garlic and ginger paste. Smash sombu with green chilies and add to the pan. Stir for sometime.
After it has turned brown, add potatoes which have been cut in small cube shape. Close the cover of the pan and allow to cook. After the potatoes have boiled, add salt and a few drops of lemon and a bit of sugar. Allow to cook for a minute. Now the masala is ready.
Add the chopped onions and chopped corrainder leaves. Keep the pan aside and allow to cool.
Before switching on the toaster, spread butter on all of its sides. Close the cover and switch on the toaster. A red indicator light will appear.
Cut the sides of the bread. Apply butter on both sides. Place the masala in between the slices of bread.
Open the cover of the toaster and place the bread and masala after the red light disappears. Close the cover and leave to cook. The red light will appear again.
After less than 5min, the red light disappears again indicating that your sandwich is ready to eat!!!
TIPS:
If you want to serve for 1 person, use 4 slices of bread,1 big potato, 2 green chilies and 1 onion.
To get crispy sandwiches, sprinkle sugar on the top and bottom of the bread. When cooking the sugar will sizzle and make your sandwich great!
