Thought for the Day

It is said that the Lord wishes that His devotees should be happier, more content and courageous than the rest. Devotion ought to make a person so, but all devotees do not cultivate these virtuous traits deep enough. Many let precious opportunities go wasted! If a father gives each of his children hundred acres of land, one may tend it well and reap golden harvests from it: another may allow it to lay barren and sink themselves into misery. The equipment each brought from their previous lives may be different, so there is no point in blaming the father for this state of affairs. Even within the family, the blood of one person may be fatal when transfused into another person, isn’t it? It is common for spiritual strength to be less in one and more in another; it is proportionate to the efforts of each, now and in the past. God’s grace is blemishless like light: One person does good using light; another executes an evil plan! Make the light within you shine!
